Before implementing WinCan solutions, creating reports in our company was an extremely time-consuming and complex process. The image data from sewer TV recordings were manually integrated into Word documents and supplemented with overview diagrams. This manual process took a lot of time and significantly complicated both management and data exchange. Dependence on an external partner for larger projects further limited our flexibility. When our business partner dissolved in 2012, we decided to overcome this bottleneck by acquiring our own vehicle system and the "ProTouch" reporting solution from WinCan. A year later, we expanded our system with a WinCan VX license, laying the foundation for future-oriented, independent reporting and management of our projects.

 

 

Efficiency Improvement through WinCan Web and Mobile App

The implementation of WinCan Web and the Mobile App has noticeably improved our internal processes. Project preparation can now be carried out by trained administrative staff and transmitted to technicians via WinCan Web. This allows the operational team to handle projects autonomously from start to final inspection and release the data following the four-eyes principle. The Mobile App was introduced in the fall and is currently still in the acclimatization phase. However, it already has the potential to further optimize workflow, especially for extensive general drainage planning (GEP).

The ability to monitor recordings in real-time and review project progress promptly has simplified collaboration with our clients. Customers appreciate the ability to access projects via specific links or user groups. Particularly helpful are the sharing functions of the WinCan Web solution: projects can be shared directly with customers, engineers, or other involved parties, reducing inquiries and shortening processing times. This not only increases customer satisfaction but also strengthens our business relationships and enhances collaboration flexibility.

 

 

 

 

Optimization of Work Processes through the Cloud-Based Solution

Thanks to WinCan Web, we can now perform post-processing on any office computer without blocking the main device with the VX license. The system offers direct data access without detours through third-party clouds. This makes work significantly easier, especially when additional recordings are needed for existing projects. All project data remains clearly and centrally stored in the WinCan environment and is quickly retrievable and further processable at any time

 

 

 

 

Time and Resource Savings

  1. An example of efficiency improvement is evident in the condition assessments (ZpA) of around 130 properties, where project data could be promptly transmitted to engineers and inquiries answered immediately. The integrated data structure has almost eliminated inquiries regarding video, image, and shaft reports, ensuring that relevant information is always readily available. The creation of shaft reports has also been significantly accelerated by the WinCan Mobile App, as these reports are now directly integrated into the project and saved without post-processing in the office.

 

 

 

Introduction and Benefits of the Enterprise License

With the WinCan Enterprise license, we have taken another step towards digitizing our processes. Currently, some of our customers use conventional tools like Forms to create flushing reports and plan maintenance measures. By presenting the WinCan maintenance planning, we have piqued our customers' interest and are now starting a pilot project over 300 kilometers of pipeline. WinCan Enterprise will help us in the future not only to support our customers with periodic cleaning but also as an option for long-term maintenance planning.
